Under COVID-19, access to healthcare is changing, and the impact on safe abortion and post-abortion care could be severe. To build a live picture of the impact on frontline services, SafeAccess partners are gathering experiences via our short survey.

Access to essential sexual and reproductive health services is becoming increasingly difficult under COVID-19, with movement constrained, services being shut down or classified as non-essential, and people unable to access care in a timely manner.

SafeAccess partners want to hear from you directly about your experiences of delivering safe abortion or post-abortion care during the pandemic. News headlines are dominated by infection rates, but the secondary impacts from COVID-19 on reproductive healthcare may be severe, particularly in countries with weaker health systems or where safe abortion access is restricted.

Your story can help inform others of what is happening on the frontline of service delivery. Please share it with us.

Marie Stopes International has developed a short survey, in partnership with Ipas, Safe Abortion Action Fund, IPPF and PSI. The survey aims to gather experiences of how abortion provision and access is affected, and is intended to be shared with anyone working to deliver access to safe abortion and post-abortion care, including programme managers, providers, policy makers, and community health workers.

There are eleven short questions, including one longer space to share your story and enter more detailed information about your experiences, if you choose to do so. We will be collating data and experiences on a rolling basis and welcome participants to complete the survey as frequently as they like.

Share your story via our short survey.
